A credit risk professional and tech-savvy builder based in Berlin. Spent years at the intersection
of machine learning, financial risk, and production systems — building scoring models, developing
AI-Agentic systems, and running risk engines across US and European markets.
Currently at Parker, owning the Credit, Fraud and AML strategy and managing a portfolio of 600+ SME clients. Previously at Klarna,
owning the real-time credit decision policy across nine EU markets. Started the risk journey at Citibank,
building AML monitoring methods and risk scoring models across India and APAC.
Studied chemical engineering at IIT Delhi, and made backend software for IoT devices. Ended up in credit risk. The engineer mindset stayed strong.
Thyme Card's products do not offer personal financial decisions, which remain, regrettably, outside scope. Thyme Card is issued by Neelotpal Nag ("Neel"), a credit risk professional and AI practitioner currently deployed in Berlin, Germany. Neel thrives on high-stakes problems and ownership. Not a bank. Not a regulated financial entity. Does hold strong opinions about your risk policies, however. Graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi with a degree in Chemical Engineering — a credential that explains both the engineer instincts and the stubborn insistence on first-principles thinking. The pivot to a Risk career was entirely logical and requires no further justification. Technical specifications: Fluent in Python, SQL and Agentic AI Frameworks. Uses Claude Code but also cleans the slop. Previously a software developer for IoT devices. Programming skills never left. The name "Thyme" refers to (a) the herb Thymus vulgaris (ahem), chosen for its associations with patience and quiet competence. Thyme Card is always accepting applications. No minimum credit score required to reach out — though the cardholder may, out of professional habit, form a view on yours. Available for senior-level credit risk, lending tech and strategy roles. Will not tell you your model is fine when it isn't.
